Kia ora, welcome to Fiordland Kindergarten.

Our learning approach is inclusive, positive, and based on strong relationships with whānau and tamariki. We have an open-door policy and encourage whānau to be a part of our daily programme. Our committee are hands-on in organising events and excursions throughout the year.

Our outdoor area is natural and encourages tamariki to actively engage and use their imaginations. The tamariki enjoy the mud kitchen, gardens, sandpit, climbing trees and other equipment that encourage gross motor skills. There are bushy spaces for huts, camping and other explorations that link closely into our active families lives outside of kindergarten.

We are culturally diverse and celebrate cultures from all around the world. Our kindergarten values are manaakitanga, tuakana teina and kaitiakitanga.

We have a Nature Discovery Programme where once a week the 10 oldest tamariki head up to spend the morning at Ivon Wilson Park. We have a close relationship with our two local primary schools and offer regular transition-to-school visits at Te Anau Primary. Fiordland Kindergarten is an Enviroschool where we take great pride in supporting ngā tamariki to be kaitiakitanga of the surrounding environment.

Tracey Braven (Head Kaiako) and Laura Dalley would love to meet you. Call in for a cuppa, meet the friendly team, and learn more about what Fiordland Kindergarten has to offer.
